Product Description
Whether you’re settling in for a cosy evening or entertaining outdoors, our kiln dried oak logs deliver exceptional warmth and timeless ambience. Thanks to its rich, steady flame and subtle woody aroma, oak is a classic choice for those seeking a traditional, romantic fire. It was historically celebrated in English winter traditions, where it symbolised strength and longevity.
As one of the densest hardwoods available, oak features a tight grain that makes it slow to ignite but rewards with an exceptionally long burn time. Thanks to its dense fibres and chunky form, each log burns consistently for over two hours, providing a steady source of warmth without frequent tending. Kiln dried oak has a lower tendency to spit and spark, providing a safer, cleaner fire for your home.
Our oak firewood is sustainably sourced, kiln dried to below 20% moisture content and Certified Ready to Burn. This makes it safe for immediate use – delivering a highly efficient, clean burn with minimal smoke. The low moisture content and dense grain significantly reduce ash and creosote buildup, helping to maintain a cleaner chimney and hearth.
Each oak log measures approximately 23.5cm long, with a diameter range of 6 – 16cm. As a natural product, these sizes may vary slightly. The logs are carefully stacked into breathable 20L nets measuring 15cm (H) x 40cm (L) x 25cm (W), making them simple to transport and store. The open weave of the netting allows for better air circulation, preserving the quality of the firewood by keeping it dry and fresh.
